We got our 1000th user on CareSquare over the weekend - a great internal milestone. We just finished the spec's for our 2.0 release - I imagine it will be out sometime late April. It's gonna be awesome. Job boards, sharecare posting areas that are searchable by things like zip code, days, ages of kids, etc. plus discussion boards for posting on whatever topics you wish. Please feel free to write in with any features you think need to be up there for the next release - we are all ears.
And in other news, we have begun the potty training process at the Ford household. Luckily, Zo is such a hungry kid all the time that bribing him with a jelly belly for everytime he uses the potty is working like a dream so far. Well, we're only one day in, but so far so good. We just finished duct-taping his diaper on him so he doesn't pull it off tomorrow morning. That may sound a little harsh, but what else can a girl do?
I wouldn't suggest bribing a kid with food to do anything! This can lead to a lifetime relationship with food that is unhealthy. Especially when that food is pure sugar, like jelly bellys. My father used to buy me a Hershey's bar every time we went to the library and I ended up with strong attachments to comfort food that took years to break. Not only that, I work as a nutrition pro and so many of my clients have the same stories to tell. Choosing a reward that isn't food, or acting more excited over a piece of food like a celery or carrot stick can imprint in your child a lifetime attitude toward food that can enable a quality of life I'm sure you want for him.
